I've heard of Kannada and I don't consider myself all that erudite. From
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kannada :

Kannada or Canarese, is a language spoken in India predominantly in the
state of Karnataka. Kannada ... number roughly 50 million, is one of the
30 most spoken languages in the world. It is one of the scheduled languages
of India and the official and administrative language of the state of
Karnataka.
