I certainly have no objections. I don't know how the process is supposed to work from here on out (of taking over while needing mentoring -- I don't know if Daniel is willing to mentor either), but I think there is a mailinglist for finding mentors.

In any case, the decision of who gets to maintain the Debian package is clearly up to the Debian project and not me. However, I'm perfectly happy to work with anyone who's willing to help out, and someone who's been contributing to the source code already is obviously a good candidate from my point of view ;-).

Happy hacking!

I would love to do it. Although I maintained libmicrohttpd debs in my
previous job it will be hard to proove that I acctually am able to do
it, so i foresee some problems in sponsoring. Also I am not entirely
sure how much time is needed, if there are no immediate objections from
you I could contact Daniel and we could work something out.

sorry for misprints I do not have a physical keyboard on this device.

    Dear all,

I just wanted to let you know that Daniel Baumann orphaned the
libmicrohttpd Debian package, so if one of you is a Debian Developer
(or wants to become one...), this might be a good chance to pick up
    a new package ;-).

Daniel maintained the package for many years, so thanks a lot Daniel!

    Happy hacking!
