How's this?

I'm not sure that the default of manually loading the deplibs is
correct.  Perhaps it would be better to only manually load when we
know for sure the host can't cope.  Writing a test would be really
tough though, since we don't know what the host dlopen API is yet, so
I guess we would just make `unknown' behave like `yes' rather than
have it behave like `no'.  Thoughts?
