Is this a GNU sed - Apple sed problem?
Robert,It looks like it may be a zsh not properly escaping the quotes problem, I have replaced bash with zsh as my /bin/sh and am looking into it.
I assume that for these tests you were on a darwin5 (OS X 10.1) system? Peter
