Unless another capable maintainer steps up to the plate. As I recall, Peter O'Gorman has cut several releases. We can cut the release as soon as the code is ready.

Regardless, a month or two is not a long time considering how long the 2.0 sources have already been cooking.

I think I am the only one with keys registered for ftp-upload. Details of how to get your own keys registered are in the Release Procedure
section of the HACKING file.

I am here for almost a week before I leave, but as you say there is no
point in rushing the release.
