Our configure.ac has AC_PREREQ(2.59), not 2.59c. Not that this is necessarily telling the truth, libtool.m4 has AC_PREREQ(2.58) and I doubt that it works with 2.58 :(
Please submit a patch that checks both (to this list), also add a ChangeLog entry.
