I no longer use or have access to any Windows machines, so I'm in no
position to hijack this thread and commit the patch. Ralf is on vacation
for a week or so at the moment, but if he's unable to find time to pick
up where he left off by next week, *and* if I have time to test it
myself then I'm happy to commit in principle if it doesn't cause any
regressions on the hosts I have access to.

Since you have helped immensely in the maintenance of the Windows
ports of Libtool already, can I interest you in a CVS commit bit to
make that job a little easier for you?
