Which version of Autoconf? 2.61 and 2.61a checked 'gm4' before 'm4', and quit
searching on the first m4 it found. A current autoconf snapshot tries 'm4'
before 'gm4'. And since FreeBSD has both the 'indir' builtin and -t option, I
guess it is not being filtered out.

OK, I'm beefing up the autoconf test. Am I correct that GNU m4 is the only
version that supports -F/-R for freezing files? (I'm basing this on
http://nixdoc.net/man-pages/FreeBSD/man1/m4.1.html).
