Revenge of the $ECHO. Kill most uses of Xsed. |

I guess now that $ECHO copes with leading hyphen, we can throw away some
$Xsed uses, and turn all the rest to plain $SED. Is that what you had
in mind, Paolo? I hope you weren't also working on this?
I'd be delighted if someone could glance over this for typos (and
objections of course). Otherwise, I guess we'll find them during
testing.
There is at least one more place with problematic usage of $ECHO, in
func_infer_tag (several instances in two lines). Not yet sure how to
fix that in a concise way.
Thanks,
Ralf
Revenge of the $ECHO. Kill most uses of Xsed.
* libltdl/config/general.m4sh: Where appropriate, do not prepend
`X' to argument to $ECHO, use $SED instead of $Xsed, or drop sed
usage completely. Use `echo' instead of $ECHO where appropriate.
* libltdl/config/getopt.m4sh: Likewise.
* libltdl/config/ltmain.m4sh: Likewise. Also, replace a couple
of instances of `$ECHO ... | $GREP' with case statements.
* libltdl/m4/libtool.m4: Likewise.
* libtoolize.m4sh: Likewise.
* tests/defs.m4sh: Likewise.
* tests/quote.test: Likewise.
