The PGI compilers look for config files in your home directory. Try
adding this line

set NOSWITCHERROR=1;

to the following files

~/.mypgcpprc
~/.mypgf77rc
~/.mypgf90rc
~/.mypgfortranrc


Then, the compiler will just ignore switches it does not understand.
