The point of this patch was to allow people to remove drawn objects, such
as note-heads, but still use their normal locations as reference point :
{ \override NoteHead #'stencil = #point-stencil c'2.-> b8-- a-- g1-> }
People do such things, and if the point-stencil is completely ignored,
there are bad surprises:
