bar numbering howto?

In the manual it is adviced howto insert barnumber at given intervals:

    \property Score.BarNumber \override #'break-visibility =
        #end-of-line-invisible
    \property Score.barNumberVisibility =
        #(every-nth-bar-number-visible 4)

That will cause bar-numbers to bars at 4, 8, 12, 16, ...

Instead, what one typically wants is bar numbering at 1, 5, 9, 13, ...

So, how to do that? IMO, the advice to be given should be documented also to:
