I got used to what I have at hand. When I was playing around with
bootloaders, there was no way to change the keyboard layout, but the
default was English.
When I helped an Italian colleague, I first changed to English, because
that was available, but forgot to change back. He was mad at me for that,
and I learnt to deal with Italian layout.
When I was in Belgium, stuck with a French layout, I got used to that,
too.
Only the Japanese and Dvorak layout were a little hard on me.
All in all: I usually just leave the keyboard layout as-is.
