Are you testing each variation in isolation, or generating several
systems in one go?

As far as I can tell, there's an interaction between this error and
the number of systems, which makes it appear that comments and white
space have an affect.

Anyway, here's a patch to fix this; AccidentalSuggestion was missing a
default for X-extent. I've also tidied up a few things at the same
time.

Thanks for the patch. The thing that bothers me is that I don't see why the lack of an X-extent should cause such a formatting disaster (and so it could be that the patch is simply covering up the real bug). Do you understand what's going on?
