We make a really big deal about telling people that they should put their examples inside \relative c'' {}, so don't mess that up.Then it has to be : \relative c'' { \key aes \major e, }No, don't stick a comma here.in order to be in accordance with what is asserted just above, unless we modify the assertions for "the fourth interline"...Yes, it does. Please change the text. "the first space inside the staff from the top"... well, that's way too wordy. Find some combination of words and example so that they agree, but make sure that the example is as simple as possible and uses =2.
I think of another way, since I don't find a simple translation for the French word "interligne" (what is between the lines): change the pitch for a B, it will then be ON a line
The code @code{b} does not mean @qq{print a black dot just on the third line of the staff.} Rather, it means @qq{there is a note with pitch B-natural.} In the key of A-flat major, it @emph{does} get an accidental: @lilypond[verbatim,quote,relative=2] \key aes \major b @end lilypond I've got a patch concerning the four available languages if you agree with this proposal.
