GOP pre-planning: web with texi2html

Question for people who like CSS, especially those involved in the
texi2html stuff: is it feasible/desirable to create portions of
the lilypond website with texi2html?

For example, consider the typography essay. We currently have two
different ones. My initial thought was to simply delete the
material from LM 1, but then it occurred to me that some people
might prefer to read it in pdf (and possibly, Mao help us,
info(1)). Deleting that section entirely would therefore be
problematic.

So I was wondering about writing portions of the website in
texinfo. The texi2html css options would be completely different
from the LM/NR stuff, but I imagine that it could create web pages
that look identical to the current website.

Some portions of the website wouldn't be done this way -- there's
no point in having a list of downloads in a printed pdf, for
example. The question of exactly what would be in texinfo and
what would be pure html is a detail for later; right now I just
want to know if it's worth discussing it.

Cheers,
- Graham
