Yes, with the right key map (keyboard layout), but I think you will have to design it for yourself. On Mac OS X, this can be done using Ukelele:
  http://scripts.sil.org/ukelele

Perhaps LilyPond users should agree on one keyboard layout - it takes some effort to do.
