No, it's not that easy: You can't open a local file with JavaScript, so there
is no easy way to search through the search index...
The only workaround would be to create an iframe with JavaScript, where the
whole search index is loaded in memory, and then use JavaScript to search
through the text of that iframe... This has the big drawback that the whole
search index is always loaded in memory for each page (while in fact we'd only
need to go through it line-by-line).
