I have now included all your comments and pushed that patch, so that lilypond
now interprets the span-* properties of (de-)crescendo music events. If you
want, you can now overload \cresc, \decresc and \dim to produce text crescendo
spanners in postfix notation, but their default implementation still uses
prefix
notation.
Once, we start planning the exact syntax for 2.14, we should bring up this
topic again and design a good upgrade path from prefix- to postfix-crescendi.
