Sorry, my fault; I was unclear. I was referring to its location,
hard-to-find-ness, and being buried in the middle of a long doc
section which mostly had nothing to do with the separator mark.

I've seen it done in student compositions... generally because
they "couldn't get finale to stop doing it". :)
