Subject: VirtualBox/LilyBuntu and USB
I don't know if this is unique to me, but it's something that may be worth
mentioning in the CG in relation to running LB in a VM on Windows (64 bit
Vista, in my case). When LB is running in its VM, my USB-based scanner
won't work, so the combination is obviously messing up the USB system
somehow. I took the scanner apart before I found out what was going on, so
it might be worth a mention.

USB Support is patchy to be frank - and I think this is one of the places that
Oracle are going to improve in 4.0 (and of course start charging for the priv).
My USB printer works fine but two of three (different) USB key fobs I have
simply won't mount on the Linux Image even though they appear to be identical
in size and FileSytem.
Also, and this may or may not be general on Windows, if I have VBOX on my mac
and plug in my iPod to sync with the Host Mac, unless I remember to disable USB
support the iPod is not detected by my mac even though it cannot be seen on the
Linux box either. So it doesn't surprise me, try turning USB support off on the
VBOX GUI (either right click on the USB icon in the bottom right corner or shut
the machine down and use the 'settings' option to simply turn it off from the
VM.
