A quick glance at
http://code.google.com/p/lilypond/issues/detail?id=1943
shows that Christian Hitz is the person who offers to do osx work,
and a quick glance at the git history for GUB shows his email
address. He's also farily busy and can take a few days before
having time to reply.
I'd suggest that you contact him as he may not have noticed the
new 2271 as opposed to the old 1943.
