True! Unless you move the Mark_engraver from the Score context to

Why not? Just make sure to insert the \mark commands for the rehearsal
marks in the top Staff.


Oh, of course! Thanks, it works. Only a bit bad that they collide
heavily with other stuff so I need to manually adjust with extra-offset
property...

I recommend to use the padding property to move things vertically and
keep extra-offset as an emergency solution only for situations where
nothing else works.

I wish lilypond would always put things so they never
collide, but maybe it's a hard thing to accomplish. Anyhow, it's better
than Finale at least. =)
