Emacs Lily extension

I've been searching the net for hours looking for an Emacs Lilipond  
extension but with no results at all! Is there one around or are you  
folks using some other editor?

I am also testing the JEdit editor with the Lilipond plugin on Mac OS  
X and Windows, an interesting tool but takes a lot of resources.

Which is the most popular editor among the Lilypond enthusiasts?
