Hi,

of course it depends on your computer, but on my celeron 2ghz, it takes approximately 5 seconds per page. YMMV.

One problem is that Lily will usually process the entire piece, which makes entering large pieces time consuming. In that case, it could be a time saver to enter the score in Finale, and then export it via MusicXML to LilyPond.

Finally, it's possible to add various trickery so only one page at a time is processed.

- What about avant garde notation?
i engrave new compositions from alive composers, they put a lot of grafics and so. Can lilypond do this stuff?

What kind of graphic stuff? Can you give examples?
