'make' is part of the GNU development tools. I use it, but
I'm currently using the ?mingw version of lilypond and don't know how to
get make to work with that.

there is a mingw version of make, so it seems it might be possible, I haven't
yet had the time to try, but I'll see during the weekend.. /Simon
