Apparently, this is what happens when lyrics are aligned to slurred notes. After all, if a slur spans several notes, it is better to have the syllable on the first note and not centered under the slur. Imagine the slur spans 20 notes... So I think this is intentional.
Well done, thank you! Adding slurs in other places gives the same alignment there.
And checking a couple of books (including the meticulous German "Ars Musica") shows that I could have known.
(An alternative could still be to centre the syllables under the first slurred note. But apparently that is not common practice.)
