Mmmmmh, are you sure about it?
I mean, in NR 1.5.2, "Voice order" section:

Voice 1: highest
Voice 2: lowest
Voice 3: second highest
Voice 4: second lowest

So if I put melody in Voice 1, bass in Voice 2 and accompaniment in
Voice 4, I'm saying to LilyPond "Hey, accompaniment is between melody
and bass".
Right?

It's the first time I write a music having more than 2 voices, so I want
to be sure I've understood correctly.
