"Gregorian neumes" would be a more natural name for that notation
element. Sorry if I try to restore the two potentially problematic
words.

Thanks to everyone who has replied.
I have a more firmer idea of what to do (for now). My main focus is to get the
section structurally consistent, it doesn't matter too much if we have
'slightly' wrong/inconsistent wording at the moment, that can be addressed
later.
However any more suggestions are always welcome.
