For my choir I have written a tool that splits and recombines the midi
tracks. The master file, generated by LilyPond, has Chords, Lead, High,
Middle, Low, Metronome. From this I generate a midi for each voice that
has Chords, the voice itself, and the Metronome.
Using Timidity++ I generate a wav and use lame to turn it into an mp3
file that I make available to the coir members for practicing.
Although the program is specific for my purposes, it may be useful for
you, too. Drop me a line if so.
