Yes, there are various methods… but none are simple or intuitive or a good 
example of Do The Right Thing™.

I've always thought that you should be able to attach these engravers (i.e., 
RehearsalMark, MetronomeMark, maybe more?) to groups as well as [i.e., instead 
of] staves — that would solve this problem immediately.
Jan-Peter: Any thoughts on how long it would take to implement that bounty-full 
project?
