I can type reasonably fast... much faster than I can think, anyway.

I made the decision to stick with the Dutch [is/es] because with two
letters I find it easier to spot the accidentals.

The reason behind this is that a beginner like myself is likely to spend
far more time reading what he typed over and over in order to fix
mistakes than typing.

So I decided I might as well stick with a notation that is a bit less
cryptic than the [b,s] English form.

The extra letter helps make the accidentals stand out.
