Hi Henry,

I'm working out of the latest from savannah.  If you "cvs up -dP" from
there then you have the same as me.  Please try that and then send me
any failures you may have. 

As I said before, I don't want to start sending out tarballs of my
current working directory, this defeats the purpose of having something
like CVS.  It's likely it's some effect of your environment
(distribution different etc).  So lets try to figure it out by starting
with the same source base and then looking at any error output.
