That's curious, it should match:


$ perl -e '$_="GNU Wget 1.10.2 (Red Hat modified)" ; ($ver) = 
m,(\d+\.\d+(?:\.\d+)?),; print "ver=$ver\n"'
ver=1.10.2

I don't understand that. If you comment out this line it should not even
check wget.
