Hi Mark,

I've seen that happen too when you have continued build of rpm-fs. To fix it:

$ rm -rf /tmp/rpm*
$ ./ltib

If that fails, please send the log (or end of it).

Hi Stuart,

My mistake: I have ltib-8-1-2-sv
That was because of a different problem I encountered
when I tried to use the latest ltib.

I already amended bin/Ltibutils.pm $app_checks for
'rpm-build' and replaced the mtd-utils.spec with the new one
as suggested by you in
http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/ltib/2009-07/msg00129.html

This means I do have release 2 of the spec file so there is no Patch1.
I had hoped it would build, but it did not.

The problem I had with the latest ltib was:

ERROR: /tmp/rpm-mcraske/RPMS/i686/rpm-fs-4.0.4-1.i686.rpm
would clobber '/tib'

Hi Mark,

Are you sure you have the latest from Savannah CVS? the byteswap patch was remote from the host mtd-utils spec file. Can you check:

dist/lfs-5.1/mtd-utils/mtd-utils-20060302.spec

It should only have at (the start)
[snip]
Summary : Memory Technology Device tools
Name            : mtd-utils
Version         : 20060302

License         : GPL
Vendor          : Freescale
Packager        : Stuart Hughes
Group           : Applications/System
Source          : %{name}-%{version}.tar.bz2

BuildRoot       : %{_tmppath}/%{name}
Prefix          : %{pfx}
[snip]

If that verifies. Can you verify that when it tries to build mtd-utils for the host you see:

Processing: u-boot-tools

Processing: mtd-utils-20060302
....

This failure is the same as reported on Fedora FC10.

It seems to be caused by the mtd-utils build including its
own ../include/bits/byteswap.h instead of the
correct /usr/include/bits/byteswap.h that also checks whether _ENDIAN_H
is defined before reporting the error.
