Stuart, Peter, thanks to you both for your swift replys.

(stuart, sorry about the duplicate private email, I though it would be prudent to post this reply to the mailinglist, but i forgot to incude in that message the first time)

Very strange, I looked at the .bad file:

address@hidden:/workspace/work/
agilent/ltib$ cat /workspace/work/agilent/ltib/pkgs/rpm-4.0.4-no-usr-local.patch.bad

This is a work around to the invalid state of some host distros
(ones having /usr/local/lib/libbz2.a and not the equivalient .so)

It looks alright to me, re-trying the same action some hours later (which is: just starting ./ltib without any special options, as non-root) seems to work ok.

No idea what to problem was... thanks again for replying !

Greetings,

Jan

Hi Jan,

Peter is right, the correct md5sum is b1a6071406c30d337c532d979c6439d1,
I just checked the site and the file is okay.

Re-try, as if you had an aborted download, it could give the problem
(the bad file has already been renamed, so just retry).

If that doesn't work, look at the .bad file and see what's in it, maybe
you're getting some error.

Regards, Stuart
