I know, that's the main problem.  My idea would be to have a DIRED like mode
with directories and files for the bookmarks (like IE).  Then you have no
problem creating hierarchies of infinite depth, or of any structure.  You
also have no problem with using multiple keys for multiple bookmarks either.
