Please understand; the first answer for solving any software package is
'get the current version'. There are too many changes , fixes, and
enhancments to hope for some kind of 'change' that doesn't require
a recompile at least - and if you are going that far, then moving
to the most recent version seems like a reasonable request.
However, we are not even able to tell you whether the problem will
be fixed there, because you didn't give us a URL to check. There are
still, and likely will always be, problems in lynx - not because of
poor support, but typically because of unexpected encounters with
HTML generated in the most unusual styles.
