Umm..not quite with that last line.  Off of the top of my head:
sunbeach.net, banksbeer.com, towner-group.com, zynet.net, caribank.org,
caribnet.net, caribsurf.com..to name a few :>

I will agree that .edu, .mil and .gov are usually the us, and I think .us
is a little obvious :>
