You're confusing cause and effect here.  I was extremely happy with Lynx
2.6RP, "in the old days".  The reason I am not using RP Lynx right now
is that you haven't maintained it and merged it into the current code
sets.  At this point I'm pretty firmly committed to the "ac" series.
Klaus has been generating new merged versions including all the various
things except "ac" autoconfiguration.

... I think it's probably time to start bundling together all these
threads of development and thinking about issuing a formal 2.8 or 3.0
release.  I guess it would be 2.8, since some of the most major changes
(libwww5, runtime NLS, etc.) haven't happened.
