Headers of posts from Lynx Version 2.7.1ac-0.28 read:
        'Content-Type: text/plain; charset=unknown-8bit'.
Am I correct in concluding that Lynx appended this header as a
default?  If so, will my manually writing in a header override
the default?  Even if I can't use ISO-2022-JP, it might be useful
to indicate that the charset is EUC.

I was also puzzled by this header:
        `Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64'.
I assumed that Lynx had added this by default.  If I were using EUC,
would I want `Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit'?

Did the reading, but "after all this time" forgot!!! :( :(

This is what I figured I needed to do, but as usual am clueless.
The SunOSs I use really seem to be tied to EUC, and how to get out
of using it has baffled  me.  Why they have to have 3 or more ways
of coding the same language is beyond me.

This is encouraging since it indicates I'm not completely lost.  Such
a function would indeed be nice.  I'll bring it up on the Japanese
browser news group, and see if some programmer doesn't have the time
and interest to work on it.
