next week (I hope).  I'm getting ready to check in a patch to reduce
the top-level targets to 1, and will work on minor bugs (or explain
things better ;-).

There's a couple of other places I've marked as well.  If we remove them
right now, the top-level Makefile won't work - unless they're using the
configure script.
