Why not try vt100?

Most basically, what Lynx thinks your terminal type is must agree with
what your emulation thinks it is.  You tell Lynx with the -term=... flag
or the TERM environment variable. (`export TERM=...' or `setenv term ...').

Then it may still be that a description for that terminal type is not
available in the terminfo or termcap database, or that it is wrong.
Whoever maintains the terminal descriptions should be asked.

Obviously something changed in your setup, and probably that was more than
just a change to a newer version of Lynx.  But we cannot know what it was.
