lynx has supported frames for a year or 2 in the same manner - a page with
a link to each frame is displayed.
lynx has no support for javascript or java and no developer has stepped
forward yet to take on the task of providing such support - so one should
not expect to see such support in the near future. Once someone has
volunteered to take on the task in a serious fashion, then I would expect
it would take quite some time to figure out how to integrate a gui
browser scripting language into a primarily text display model, all the
while tracking each new set of patches that are released.
It's a non-trivial task.
