Excuse a possibly dumb question, but what do u mean by inverted?
Do you mean you want links printed in inverse video?

Also, it's not clear what you have turned off.
Setting keypad mode to "Links and form fields are numbered"
does 2 things -- it numbers form input fields and it
adds the numbering for popup options.  Are you saying you  would like
it to number form input fields and buttons but not options in
a popup menu?
