Ups, I found the problem!
The DJGPP file utility commands cp, ls, mv rm ...
will never work, if the current path beginns with
where X is an abitrary drive.
Renaming "dev" to "foo" or something else solves the problem.
The problem appears only, when "dev" is the first dir in the subtree!
Funny thing!
And I was so silly to compile in d:/dev
