I like 2 spaces after a period at the end of a sentence. But what I
like to look at and what I think might be appropriate for HTML don't
always agree. Indeed putting code into Lynx to try to render two spaces
at the end of a sentence seems like folly.
A person has the option of using <pre> to do things like that. There
is also the entity   for forcing two spaces (point size of current
font). (I don't think Lynx implements the entity  , but someone
who were desperate could do the hack for his/her personal Lynx.)
