most of the language support is optional. a scripting interface would be
like the caching support - a bit harder to disentangle with ifdef's. Bear
in mind that lynx doesn't recognize a command language at this point, so
anything more than making it able to read a stream of keystrokes from
a file (which could be done compactly) would add a lot of code.
