lynx-dev How can I get rid of the numbers before the links?

When I view a page it has an ol before every link so the page is mangled
with lots of [1] and [2] and [3]'s all over the page.

How can I turn this feature off? 

It's freebsd. the latest or very recent lynx. I have read and heavily
edited the lynx.cfg (there was a mention of a default ol being used under
another feature but not 'all links').
