Any idea where I might have to look? May it help to send the config.log

Besides the -number-links problem I build it sucessfully on:
address@hidden:/var/tmp/lynx-2.8.4.dev20 > cat /etc/SuSE-release
SuSE Linux 7.2 (i386)
VERSION = 7.2
address@hidden:/var/tmp/lynx-2.8.4.dev20 > rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.2.2-38
